African electric vehicle manufacturer Agilitee is preparing to list in the United States, a move aimed at unlocking fresh capital and accelerating the rollout of green transport solutions across the continent.
The Johannesburg-based company plans to go public through a reverse merger with U.S.-listed Media Sentiment Inc., with the transaction expected to close by July 2026. Following the deal, the combined entity will operate under the name Agilitee Inc., with current Agilitee shareholders expected to retain a 95 percent controlling stake.
The listing would place Agilitee among a growing number of African technology firms tapping into international capital markets to fund expansion. Analysts believe the move could drive increased investment into electric mobility and renewable energy across Africa.

Founded in 2018, Agilitee focuses on electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, and green technologies. Its operations span the manufacturing and distribution of EVs, as well as the development of charging infrastructure aimed at reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The company has recently stepped up its growth strategy through global partnerships. Earlier this year, it entered into a collaboration with a Chinese automaker to introduce several electric scooter models in select African markets, targeting demand for affordable and environmentally friendly transport.
Agilitee has also secured agreements to supply tens of thousands of electric scooters in countries including Kenya and Nigeria, supporting the expansion of last-mile delivery and mobility services.
The company’s growth comes amid rising momentum in Africa’s electric mobility sector, fueled by increasing fuel prices, rapid urbanization, and stronger policy focus on climate action.
With operations already established across East and West Africa, Agilitee is looking to deepen its footprint through local assembly and expanded infrastructure.
If completed, the U.S. listing is expected to provide the capital needed to scale production, improve supply chains, and accelerate EV adoption across the continent.
