Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir has exuded confidence that his administration’s development record will secure him another term in office in the 2027 General Election.
Addressing residents in Junda, Nassir said the county government has prioritised programmes aimed at improving living standards and expanding access to essential services.
He cited efforts being undertaken jointly with the national government to speed up the processing and issuance of title deeds, noting that secure land ownership is vital for economic growth and community development.
The governor also singled out healthcare and education as sectors that have continued to receive increased attention under his leadership, saying investments made in the areas are intended to benefit current and future generations.
Nassir maintained that his administration's achievements speak for themselves and that residents will ultimately evaluate leaders based on the impact of their work.
“Our responsibility is to deliver. The record speaks through the projects we have implemented, the services we have improved, and the opportunities we continue to create for our residents,” he said.
He said he remains optimistic that the gains achieved during his first term will resonate with voters when they head to the ballot in 2027.
